I Balcani, l’Italia e l’Europa

24/06/2024, Biblioteca del Senato Giovanni Spadolini - h. 16:00

The Balkans have historically been linked to Italy and its national interests from multiple perspectives, and have been the scene of major crises and changes for all of Europe. Understanding their historical legacy from an Italian perspective helps to put the current situation in the region in proper context, and sets the basis for a prospective reflection on regional security dynamics, the process of integration of the Balkans into the Euro-Atlantic community, and interconnections with the ongoing global geopolitical competition.

Experts from academia and research, political, diplomatic and military representatives of Italian institutions will dialogue on these issues.

The event is organized by the Craxi Foundation in collaboration with the Istituto Affari Internazionali.
