L’innovazione tecnologica a sostegno della sicurezza nazionale

The focus of the Annual Conference organized by the CBRN Cluster is technological innovation in the CBRN sector, with particular reference to European projects involving Italian actors. The aim is to highlight its importance, if not indispensability, to face new challenges even in this sector where criticalities of natural or anthropogenic origin are growing. Technological innovation, in addition to enabling a strengthening and improvement of the various resilience tools available, including reducing their management costs, can enable the availability of new ones. It becomes, therefore, increasingly the driving force behind the entire security and defense system of our society.

The conference will be divided into two panels; in the first, three recent European projects with Italian participation will be presented that confirm the commitment and technological capabilities present in this sector in our country. In the second, initiatives launched or planned to increase national capabilities to manage CBRN risks and threats in the civil and military fields will be presented.

Authoritative figures from the institutional, academic and research worlds will speak at the conference, which will be held at ENEA's headquarters, to develop a reflection that encourages greater attention and awareness of these issues and the need to strengthen our capabilities to prepare, prevent and protect our country.
