On Thursday, October 17, at 5:30 PM, the event “Mediazione, sicurezza, transizione energetica: casi studio a confronto” will take place at the Accademia delle Scienze di Torino. During this event, a number of winning projects from the previous edition of the call on “Geopolitics and Technology” will be presented.

This event is framed withint the commitment of Compagnia di San Paolo Foundation to promote initiatives that offer to young researchers and professionals opportunities for growth and exchange within significant international contexts.

In particular, the three projects, which will be explored as relevant examples in their respective fields, will be:

Building a transatlantic technology bridge: challenges and opportunities” (Istituto Affari Internazionali – IAI), a project that investigates the opportunities and challenges of transatlantic technological cooperation.

Technology and energy transition: what role for Europe and Italy?” (ECCO, the italian think tank for climate), which analyzes the geopolitical dimension of technological development related to the needs of the energy transition, with a focus on Europe and Italy.

Digital technologies for peace and mediation” (Agency for Peacebuilding – AP), a project that explores how digital technologies can be used to promote mediation and peacebuilding.

The event will be opened by institutional greetings from the President of the Compagnia di San Paolo Foundation, Marco Gilli, and from Nicolò Russo Perez, Head of the Mission “Aprire Scenari Internazionali” of the Foundation. Afterwards, Flavia Giacobbe, director of Formiche and Airpress, will moderate the event, in order to stimulate interdisciplinary reflection on geopolitical and technological global challenges and the importance of valuing human capital as a driver of innovation.
