Women leaders and the key role of Civil Society Organisations. Enhancing Civil-Military Cooperation in Ukraine
The Istituto Affari Internazionali (IAI) of Rome and the Women’s Information Consultative Center (WICC) of Kyiv are organizing an Advanced Research Workshop on Women leaders and the key role of Civil Society Organisations. Enhancing Civil-Military Cooperation in Ukraine, to be held on 15 and 16 May 2018 in Kharkiv, Ukraine.
The workshop is supported by the NATO Science for Peace and Security Programme.
The Workshop aims at bringing together central and local institutions’ representatives, women leaders and representatives of women’s groups and human rights organizations from the conflict-affected areas of Ukraine on one side, and representatives of the Armed Forces on the other. The event will create a platform to exchange practices between the organizations involved and represent an important occasion for civil society representatives to share their experiences of collaboration with institutions and with the Armed Forces during the conflict, and to address the challenges they are faced with. The workshop will also involve civilian and military experts and policymakers from NATO Allied and partner countries, therefore providing a forum for discussion and a networking opportunity.
