EU, Turkey and the Refugee Crisis

Published in the framework of the IAI-led Global Turkey in Europe project, a number of papers address the ongoing migrant and refugee crisis. Beginning from an assessment of the EU-Turkey deal, other papers analyse the impact of the deal on Greece, the plight of Syrian refugees in Turkey and the issue of leverage and influence between Europe and Turkey. A further IAI working paper analyses the EU's migration policy based on the externalisation and securitisation of migrant flows and agreements with third countries.
