Italy's fight against radicalization
Italy's struggle to devise an effective migration management system - and to reform the EU's asylum system - moves in parallel with the fight against terrorism. The Italian Parliament is currently debating the approval of a draft law on the prevention of radicalization. However, the bill places the focus exclusively on the threat of jihadist extremism: a missed opportunity to combat all forms of political and ideological radicalization (such as far-right extremism) spreading in Italy and Europe?
