Call for applications
Are you a third-year BA student or an MA student in a programme in the social sciences (for example, European Studies, Political Science, Public Policy, Public Administration, International Relations, European or International Governance, Law, Economics) interested in deepening your knowledge of the latest trends in European single market integration, including specialising in a key thematic area: digital, defence, energy, or financial single market?
You are welcome to apply for the one-week intensive summer school programme of the Jean Monnet Network VISTA on Revitalising the Study of EU Single Market Integration, which will take place online 20-24 June 2022 (via Zoom, time zone will be CET), hosted by JMN VISTA partner Istituto Affari Internazionali (IAI), Rome.
Knowledge network: The JMN VISTA summer school will give you new insights into the dynamics of EU single market integration in four key thematic areas, put you in touch with other students from Europe and abroad who are enthusiastic about this topic, and hone your professional skills to analyse policy challenges in EU single market integration.
Learning format: The summer school will feature a daily lecture by a leading expert in the field of European single market integration followed by a small group discussion of assigned academic and policy literature as well as group project work. For more details about the summer school programme, see the enclosed programme.
Result: To complete the summer school programme, you will prepare and deliver on the last day of the summer school a group presentation on a contemporary academic or policy challenge in a selected thematic area of EU single market integration. Your group work will be guided by an academic expert from one of the partner universities. Successful summer school participants will be awarded a certificate of the Jean Monnet Network VISTA.

The JMN VISTA Steering Group will select the summer school participants. Successful applicants will hear from us by shortly after the closure of the call.
The summer school is funded by an Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Network grant and is free of charge for all participants.
