More Italian Troops to Battle ISIS

“Italy’s contribution to the anti-ISIS coalition will increase to 750 men”, noted Italian Defence Minister, Roberta Pinotti, during a IAI conference entitled, ‘Italy and NATO: What Defence?’. The Minister further discussed how best to respond to the mounting security challenges facing Italy and Europe from the MENA region. “We need a strategy to battle terrorism, not an emotional response”, concluded the Minister.
