Myanmar’s Bloody Road to Democracy

The United Nations call on Myanmar to end violence against Rohingya, the Muslim minority who lives in Buddhist-majority Rakhine state and has suffered multifaceted discrimination and persecution for decades. Much hope had been placed in Nobel Peace Prize winner Aung San Suu Kyi, but "the Lady" - currently Burma's Foreign Minister and State Counsellor - is reticent to condemn the abuses and silent on the country's ethnic and religious division.
