Oman attacks and rising tensions

Friday's attack on two oil tankers in the Gulf of Oman, just outside the Strait of Hormuz, where about a fifth of the world's energy traffic passes, has triggered accusatory exchanges between Washington and Tehran. The Trump administration considers the Iranian government responsible for the incidents; President Ruhani rejects all charges. Finally, Iran has announced that it is on the verge of overstepping the limits imposed on its enriched uranium within 10 days time, renewing calls on the other signatory parties to the JCPOA to implement their part of the deal.
