Syrian Refugees in Turkey

IAI research focuses on the plight of Syrian refugees in Turkey, assessing the humanitarian and integration dimensions of the Syrian refugee crisis. As the largest host nation for Syrian refugees, Turkey suffers from significant institutional, legal and political challenges connected to the massive influx of refugees from Syria. The recent EU-Turkey deal is assessed, as are the strengths and weaknesses of Turkey’s asylum and protection capacity.
