Think Tanks: IAI at the Council of Councils. Paris, 2019

The Council of Councils, an international network of major research centres promoted by the Council on Foreign Relations in New York, held a meeting to discuss recent global developments and challenges. IAI’s director, Ettore Greco, represented the only Italian Institute to be part of the CoC’s network of 26 think tanks and research centres. The debate touched on various pressing issues, from international cooperation between states to multinational actions aimed at combating global challenges such as climate change, terrorism, inter-state conflicts and civil wars. Participants praised the COP21 meeting on climate change but expressed concern that other challenges demand similar international action and focus.
