The Ukraine Crisis and West-Russia Relations

A new IAI edited volume containing revised and updated papers presented at the seventh edition of the Transatlantic Security Symposium analyses the dramatic shift in Europe’s strategic context in the wake of the Ukraine crisis while examining whether Russia and the West can contain tensions, manage competition and keep cooperating on issues of mutual concern. Other IAI papers focus on the contentious role of volunteer battalions in Ukraine and provide a critical assessment of the EU’s Eastern Partnership initiative in the Southern Caucasus.
