The US, Iran and the Syria-Iraq Crisis

How would a US-Iran rapprochement impact the current conflict in Syria and Iraq? While many have argued that a resolution of the Iranian nuclear file could help bring stability to the region, this paper casts a more sober assessment arguing that US-Iran relations are likely to remain antagonistic in the short and medium term.
