Menara-Medreset, final conference
“The Middle East and the EU: New Realities, New Policies" at Egmont Palace, an event presenting the results of two H2020 research projects, Menara and Medreset, will take place in Brussels on 6 March. The agenda will start off with a keynote speech by the High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice President of the EU Commission Federica Mogherini, introduced by Ambassador Marc Otte.
The conference is aimed at promoting debate among experts from Brussels and politicians on the present and future of the Middle East and North Africa, with particular emphasis on the role of the EU in the region. The main results of the two projects will be illustrated by Eduard Soler, Menara's scientific coordinator and senior research fellow at CIDOB, Nathalie Tocci, Menara's political coordinator and IAI director, and Daniela Huber, Medreset scientific coordinator and senior fellow at IAI. Medreset’s Young Writers Prize will also be awarded during the conference.
