Rapporti con l'Europa. Come cambiano le opinioni degli italiani
How much confidence do Italians have in the European Union? And what are their views about its policies? This is the main theme of the recent opinion survey carried out by the Institute for International Affairs (IAI) and the Political and Social Analysis Laboratory of the University of Siena on the opinions of Italians on the relations with the European Union.
The opinion survey - conducted on a representative sample of the Italian resident population in the context of the strategic partnership with the Compagnia di San Paolo Foundation - focuses on what Italians think about the role of the EU in managing the pandemic and in particular on the aid given to the country. How do they see themselves treated on budgetary and migration issues? Has the Italian government succeeded in defending its national interests? How many would vote for an exit from the Union in the event of a referendum? What should the priorities in managing the funds of the Recovery Fund be? And what are the prevailing opinions in the electorates of the various parties on all these issues?
