EAST – EU-Asia security and trade: A research network investigating EU-Asia relations

The project brings together seven universities and think tanks from three continents to provide a systematic analysis of relations between the EU and Asia-Pacific. The network - coordinated by IAI, Maastricht University, Stiftung Wissenschaft und Politik (SWP) and S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS) - analyzes in depth two essential aspects of this relationship: security and trade. Two hybrid seminars were held in Rome and Melbourne between December 2019 and January 2020, bringing together the researchers involved in the drafting of two volumes dedicated to the aforementioned topics. The volumes were published with the publishing house Palgrave.
