Climate Justice is Key to Achieving the Paris Goals

The Covid-19 pandemic has accelerated many trends already underway in the global economy, amplifying the need to rethink a greener and more inclusive world economy. Moreover, in 2020 the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) warned that present trends are not sufficient to achieve the climate goals set out by the Paris Agreement in 2015. This raises an important question of intergenerational justice as youth and future generations are those that will bear the brunt of the climate crisis.
