Il futuro della NATO e la sicurezza dell’Europa
The war in Ukraine, triggered by the Russian invasion, is profoundly affecting current and future security trends of Europe. These are closely intertwined with the process of revitalization of the Atlantic Alliance: a month away from the adoption of Nato’s new Strategic Concept at the 2022 Madrid Summit on 29-30 June, the discussion agenda is remarkably rich. From the entry of Finland and Sweden into the Alliance and its subsequent implications for Nato’s internal and external equilibria to the rebalancing of the Alliance’s pillars in the face of the Russian aggression, from the increase in defence expenditures and coordination among European states to the transatlantic ability to respond to and deal with global challenges and threats, Europe’s security and defence are at a critical juncture. What does this all mean for Europe, and for Italy?
