Giulia Daga
Giulia Daga is a researcher in IAI’s Mediterranean, Middle East and Africa research programme. In parallel, she has been working as adjunct lecturer at the John Cabot University. She holds a PhD from the School of International Studies of the University of Trento, with a thesis on Oman’s foreign policy discourse. During her PhD program, she spent visiting periods at the LSE Middle East Centre and the Sultan Qaboos University.
Her research interests include the history and politics of the Persian Gulf, diplomatic and colonial history, maritime strategy, identity and discourse studies, and theories of nonalignment.
