Viareggio-Rèpaci Prize: Journalistic Award to Nona Mikhelidze

Nona Mikhelidze has been awarded with the Journalism Award of the 94th Viareggio-Rèpaci Prize, in recognition of her contribution to the public debate on the Russian war on Ukraine.
The awards presentation will be held on July 30.
"I am profoundly humbled to have been awarded with the Viareggio Prize as the Journalist of the Year 2023, in recognition of my contribution to the public debate on the Russian war against Ukraine", says Mikhelidze. "Therefore, I wish to dedicate this Prize to the extraordinary military and civic resistance of the Ukrainian people, as well as to the memory of the writer Victoria Amelina and all those who have lost their lives in the fight for freedom and for Europe".
