Advanced Certificate 2024

Advanced Certificates are training courses designed for students, recent graduates and professionals who want to strengthen their professional development and improve their individual skills in order to work in international contexts. Below is the range of IAI's Certificates for 2024: .

Advanced Certificate “International Policy Analyst”The Certificate aims to provide the knowledge and skills necessary to understand cross-cutting issues and content related to international politics, develop scenarios, identify future trends and new challenges in the international arena. To obtain the Certificate, the following courses must be attended:

• Political risk forecasting and scenario analysis (compulsory, I semester or II semester)
• Open Source INTelligence (OSINT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI): Insights and Applications (compulsory, I semester or II semester)

and one course of your choice between:

• Analyst in the Euro-Mediterranean and Middle East (I semester or II semester)
• Gender Politics (II semester)
• Indo-Pacific Geopolitics (II semester)

Advanced Certificate in “Sustainable Development, Cooperation and Conflict Management”
The Certificate is structured as an in-depth and detailed course on peace and development cooperation methodologies and intervention practices in crisis and conflict contexts. To obtain the Certificate it is necessary to attend the following courses:

• International Cooperation and Resource Management (compulsory, I semester)
• Crisis, cyber security and conflict (compulsory, II semester)

and one course of your choice between:

• Euro-Mediterranean and Middle East Analyst (I semester or II semester)
• Non-Proliferation and Disarmament (I semester)
• Indo-Pacific Geopolitics (II semester)

Advanced Certificate for International Careers
The Certificate aims to train and prepare participants in theory and practice for a career in international diplomacy. To obtain the Certificate, the following courses must be attended:

• Political Risk Forecasting and Scenario Analysis (compulsory, I semester or II semester);
• Gender Politics (compulsory, II semester)

and one course of your choice between:

• International Cooperation and Resource Management (I semester)
• Non-Proliferation and Disarmament (I semester)
• Crisis, cyber security and conflicts  (II semester).

Advanced Certificate Plus

The Advanced Certificate Plus include, in addition to the Advanced Certificate, participation in an IAI practical workshop to provide participants with more in-depth and detailed skills and tools in the field of communication in international relations. To obtain the Certificate Plus, the following courses can be combined:

• Advanced Certificate "International Policy Analyst" + one in-presence Workshop of your choice between "Writing Techniques and AI" (I semestre) e "Public Speaking Techniques and AI" (II semester)
• Advanced certificate in "Sustainable Development, Co-operation and Conflict Management" + one in-person Workshop of your choice between "Writing Techniques and AI" (I semester) e "Public Speaking Techniques and AI" (II semestre)
• Advanced Certificate in "International Careers" + one in-person Workshop of your choice between "Writing Techniques and AI" (I semester) e "Public Speaking Techniques and AI" (II semester).

ATTENTION!!

All courses required for the Advanced Certificate must be taken no later than one calendar year/two semesters.

Through an Early Application (i.e. through early and cumulative enrolment in all the courses that make up an Advanced Certificate), there is the possibility of accessing a 15% discount on the total fee. This fee must be paid in one lump sum.

In addition, Early Application to an Advanced Certificate Plus allows a 20% discount on the total fee (also payable in a single payment).
