Satellites & Environmental Monitoring in India
Integrating new technological solutions into sustainability efforts is becoming increasingly important in today’s rapidly advancing technological landscape and amidst growing environmental challenges. Satellite technologies can play a significant role in addressing these challenges by facilitating environmental monitoring. They require fewer resources on the ground and enable surveillance of larger and more difficult-to-reach areas. However, implementing strategies that leverage these technologies encounters significant obstacles, including regulatory uncertainty and public opposition. To navigate these challenges and promote the effective use of these tools, it is crucial to foster stakeholder engagement and cooperation among various users, particularly between space agencies. This can help identify the best practices and applications of satellite technology. This webinar will explore how satellite technology can enhance environmental protection. Discussions will focus on frameworks, emerging technical innovations, and strategies to accelerate their development in India.
