EuroMeSCo Report 1997/1998
This report, presented in its first version during the EuroMediterranean Ministerial Conference held in Malta in April 1997, is the result of the first year of EuroMeSCo working groups' activities. The report examines the relations between the European Union and its partners, as well as the perspectives opened by the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership, established in Barcelona in November 1995 in the fields of politics and security. According to the spirit of Barcelona, the various aspects of the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership were considered indissociable and interdependent and this determined the approach to the political, economic and social questions, in order to provide an integrated and comprehensive vision.
