The Arctic Council and the Italian Perspective
The 20th Anniversary of the Ottawa Declaration
Organized on the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of the Ottawa Declaration that established the Arctic Council, the conference aims to provide an overall picture of the international cooperation in the region. Starting from the analysis of the activities of the Arctic Council, the event will discuss the complexity of ecosystems and the political, economic, scientific opportunities, particularly in the light of climate change trends and of the ongoing dynamics between international players.
The conference will be opened by Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Hon. Vincenzo Amendola, and closed by Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Sen. Benedetto della Vedova.
