Towards a New Thinking on the Western Balkans

On 27 February 2018 the Istituto Affari Internazionali (IAI) hosted a closed-door discussion entitled "Towards a New Thinking on the Western Balkans". The event was attended by representatives of the European Fund for the Balkans (EFB), the Balkans in Europe Policy Advisory Group (BiEPAG) as well as several Italian experts. The aim of the roundtable was that of discussing the new Strategy of the EU Commission on "A credible enlargement perspective for and enhanced EU engagement with the Western Balkans", adopted on 6 February 2018, and provide recommendations for the drafting of a Balkan Declaration by the EFB, on the occasion of its 10th anniversary.
