The Geopolitics of Climate - A Transatlantic Dialogue
Scholars from IAI and the Belfer Center, renowned international experts and practitioners, top energy public and private stakeholders convened to discuss the global socio-economic, technological and geostrategic transformations climate change is bringing about, as well as the key challenges that both the EU and the US will have to tackle in this regard.
The event consisted of three panels: the first, focused on the EU and its key climate-related policy challenges; the second, looking at the impact of energy security and climate change on the bilateral transatlantic relationship; the third, dealing with energy transition at the global level (China, India) and its implications for transatlantic cooperation. A final high-level policy debate on the ‘Institutional and industrial implications of climate change’ closed the event.
