The North African country, remote from the Arab Spring, produces electricity from coal and hydroelectric power, while combined oil and natural gas only contribute a further 20 percent. Buoyed by a series of reforms that has protected it from the global crisis, Morocco is currently aiming to become an energy hub for the Mediterranean.
