Meeting WEU Military Committee - Transition Plan
On 17 October, the WEU Military Committee adopted a plan to transform the organisation in view of its progressive incorporation into the EU.
This decision needs to be ratified by the WEU Ministerial meeting to be held on 13 November. 
The WEU will continue to guarantee collective defence operations (Title V) and will maintain the WEAG and the Assembly, while the Satellite Centre and the Institute for Security Studies will be transferred to the EU. 
The WEU will also support ESDP interim structures.
