Beyond the wall: East-west relations in Europe from the Cold War to the present

The aim of the project is to provide an in-depth overview of international relations on the eastern border yesterday (Friuli Venezia Giulia) and today (War in Ukraine), promoting awareness and understanding of the relations between the eastern and western parts of the European continent, with a focus not only on the dynamics of division, but also on those of exchange, contamination and sharing.

The theme will be developed during a public conference that will offer a perspective from both the historical and contemporary perspectives of relations East-West relations in Europe, focusing on the topics of borders, exchange and contamination. The conference will aim to encourage public involvement and awareness of these issues, particularly the impact that the dynamics of international relations have had and are having on peoples' lives.
