Italy at the forefront of infrastructure diplomacy: the Lobito Corridor case

The project (September 2025-June 2026) aims to analyse Italy’s role in the Lobito Corridor. The research will provide the opportunity to focus on several key topics: critical raw materials and related supply chains, which are vital for the energy and digital transition; inclusivity, governance and the implementation of the Mattei Plan. Through qualitative research, the expected outputs include policy briefs and podcasts, as well as a final paper providing recommendations. At the same time, several seminars and workshops will be organised to disseminate the research findings.
