Promoting Research on Digitalisation in Emerging Powers and Europe towards Sustainable Development - PRODIGEES
PRODIGEES promotes international collaboration, knowledge sharing on (global) governance and the conditions for directing digitalization towards the goals of sustainable development in the 2030 Agenda. The main goal of the four-year project - led by the German Institute of Development and Sustainability - is to enable a better understanding of digital transformation processes and emerging technologies by studying their impact on sustainable development and the achievement of SDGs in different regions of the world. PRODIGEES focuses on the exchange of ideas among academic and non-academic institutions dealing with sustainability and digitisation issues in the European Union (Austria, Estonia, Italy, Germany) and between some emerging powers of the Global South (Brazil, India, Indonesia, Mexico and South Africa). In this way, the project allows to share and compare experiences of countries that are of utmost importance for the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals and a successful global governance in the digital age.
