Transatlantic Security Symposium - 14. ed.
The 14th edition of the Transatlantic Symposium, the annual forum where experts and officials from the US, the EU and other countries discuss the main items in the transatlantic agenda, has focused on Evolution of Europe’s Security Order and the Ukraine War. Participants, who include twelve experts and diplomats from Italy, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, Turkey and the United States, have delved into four specific topics: a) European defence and transatlantic relations; b) Germany’s security and defence policy after the Zweitenwende; c) Turkey’s relations with the EU and United States; d) Russia’s role in Europe’s order.
The US Chargé d’Affaires ad interim Shawn Crowley delivered the initial remarks.
The event took place on 13 February 2023 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) thanks to the support of the MAECI itself, the US Embassy in Italy and the Compagnia di San Paolo.
