Governance and security in the Sahel: focus on stabilization

At the conference “Governance and Security in the Sahel: Tackling Mobility, Demography and Climate Change”, organised by Istituto Affari Internazionali, Foundation for European Progressive Studies and National Democratic Institute, Youssouf Bâ, independent expert from Burkina Faso, talks about security in the region. He explains how the focus on security can lead to neglect of other issues that need to be tackled, like corruption, and could lead to a negative impact on democracy and the rule of law.
