General course overview

Arms control remains one of the cornerstones of international cooperation for the maintenance of peace and security, integral to the mission of various multilateral institutions, starting with the UN. However, the recent wars in Ukraine and between Israel and Hamas, along with tensions among major powers, have laid bare the inadequacy and fragility of the system. To address such a complex threat, there is a growing need for analysts and professionals who, based on an understanding of disarmament strategies, arms control agreements, and related negotiation strategies, can respond to the challenges to global security.
