EU technical assistance to the internal security forces - Lebanon

IAI is part of an international consortium led by B&S Europe implementing the project "EU technical assistance to the internal security forces - Lebanon". The project, financed by the European Commission, via the EU Office in Lebanon, will support Lebanese forces in three directions:

1. development of Internal Security Forces training systems and capacity;
2. structural improvement of core police services;
3. promotion of joint Internal Security Forces training with other security agencies in particular on community safety and risk management and response.

In particular, IAI performs scenario analysis and tailored communication activities in partnership with the Italian Defence General Staff and Carabinieri, main partners of this consortium. The aim of this project is to assist the Lebanese police to deliver more effective, better-managed and more accountable police services to citizens.
