LISBOAN - Linking Interdisciplinary Integration Studies by Broadening the European Network
The LISBOAN project features the launch of a network of 67 research institutes and universities from 32 countries, including EU members, candidate and associate countries. The network covers a plurality of disciplines such as economics, history, law, political sciences, etc. The LISBOAN network aims at identifying the best practices for teaching the Lisbon Treaty and disseminating innovative teaching approaches.
The IAI, which is a member of the project’s steering committee , contributes to the quarterly newsletters aimed at disseminating the project’s results, and to the Italian section of Lisbon Watch, a publication on the academic and political debate on and teaching approaches to the subject of the Lisbon Treaty and related issues in the EU Member States.
In May 2012, IAI also hosted a LISBOAN Guest Lecture on the post-Lisbon EU inter-institutional balance by Professor Wolfgang Wessels from the University of Cologne. The project ended in September 2013.
