Climate mitigation, energy and food security goals within the Italian G7 Presidency
In 2024 Italy holds the Group of 7 (G7) Presidency, hosting ministerial meetings throughout the year and the leaders’ summit in June, at a very delicate time for global, European and Italian climate action.
This project aims to ensure sound support to the delivery of a credible and ambitious climate action at the G7 level in 2024 towards climate mitigation goals and food systems, with particular attention to the Mediterranean and African countries. The project also aims at kick-starting a broad conversation with the G7 Presidency and relevant stakeholders on a just transition that rethinks the approach towards the African continent in order to ensure clean energy access, development and trade in the most sustainable way.
